Apifera by Hattie Fox is a creative design and production studio translating abstract concepts into tangible environments through sculptural, spatial and botanical design.

Drawing on over two decades of floristry and styling expertise, Hattie approaches each project with an eye for both detail and the wider setting.

Her international practice has spanned the Middle East, India and Europe. These diverse cultural encounters have shaped an approach attentive to landscape, local traditions and the character of place.

The studio takes its name from Ophrys apifera, a wild orchid found in the Algarve, where the studio is currently based. This connection reflects a deep-rooted commitment to locality, seasonality and the genius loci of a space. Ecological responsibility guides this approach, with Hattie’s botanical knowledge informing the selection of materials in response to natural seasons and the surrounding ecosystem.

Operating across Europe and the UK, Apifera specialises in bespoke wedding/event floristry and styling, site-specific art installations, spatial curation, botanical art direction and creative consultancy. Its installations explore the relationship between natural forms, sculptural materials and architecture, creating atmospheric interventions that invite a new experience of familiar spaces.

From intimate gatherings to expansive installations and permanent structures, each commission is defined by aesthetic restraint, material integrity and meticulous craft. The result is work that balances a distinctive artistic vision with a considered sensitivity to material, setting and place.
